As an extremely low impact sport, Alton Rowing Club are proud to support the Kafue River and Rowing Centre in Zambia.  This project is significant, not just for the people of Zambia but also for anyone who is concerned about the provision of clean water for health, industry and sport.

The Kafue River and Rowing Centre aligns neatly with our vision for an ecological haven where low impact sports such as rowing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding co-exist happily with the stunning flora and fauna of this part of Suffolk.  It is well known that rowing is a low impact sport and has no detrimental effect on wildlife.
